Market Fitness: free participatory lecture series.
A project by Christian Nagler, in collaboration with video artist Azin Seraj
Ever wanted to understand the basics of international finance but too bored, frustrated, or resistant to try?
In this series of free participatory lectures Christian Nagler, in collaboration with video artist Azin Seraj and a few special others, will offer a clarifying account of derivatives, options, and exchange rate volatility — while simultaneously leading you in a vigorous physical warm-up and group movement exercises. In the first hour of the session, you will absorb finance information with your cardio-rate high. In the second half you will engage in group scores designed to embody key economic theories such as Keynes’ ‘Animal Spirits’, Schumpeter’s ‘Creative Destruction’ and Fama’s ‘Efficient Market Hypothesis’. Bring clothes you can move and sweat in, and a change of clothes for afterwards. Come to one or all sessions! (full schedule below)
